Our History

In 2009, ALI first began its intensive English program in Dallas with the simple goal of helping students learn English and succeed in their academic goals. Since then, we’ve been providing students like you with high-quality intensive English classes. But we don’t stop there. We also educate students in American culture and help prepare them to accomplish their dreams.

Meet Our Team

Shawn Leigh opened ALI in 2009 with one student and has now exceeded 200 students in 2017. Shawn has a vision to continue expanding the school.

Kasandra Miller started in 2013 as an instructor and student advisor. She became the Director of Student Affairs and DSO in 2015, then became PDSO in 2017. Kasandra can help students with SEVIS records, school transfers, attendance concerns, and overall program concerns.
