We may not have the beautiful beaches of California, the theme parks of Florida, or the Broadway shows of New York, but we have something special going on here in Texas. The economic climate is hot and getting hotter as businesses are booming all around the state. In particular, we are seeing an increase here in Dallas and neighboring cities. International visitors come here to seek out different opportunities that Dallas offers individuals for a brighter future. Some international visitors seek out business or investment opportunities. Other visitors, not yet ready to start a business, may seek out educational opportunities at many of our higher education institutes, colleges, universities, and vocational schools.
Whether a visitor from another country is here to see family, look for opportunities for business, or seeking a degree at a university, I recommend starting by taking some English classes. Learning English here in the heart of Texas will prove to be a springboard to what life has in the next step. According to the U.S. Census Bureau website, 43% of Texas households have a language other than English spoken at home. This is almost half of Texas which shows the diversity and international opportunities that Texas provides.
We are home to one of the busiest and largest international airports in the world which makes international travel a breeze for our international visitors.
According to Forbes.com, our city ranked as follows:
#10 for best places for business and career
#15 in job growth
#48 in education
#111 in cost of doing business
Come visit the Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas, see a Friday night rodeo in Fort Worth, watch the Dallas Cowboys football game at the amazing AT&T stadium with a retractable room in Arlington, or go shopping in Plano. Everywhere you turn, you will see life, a booming economy, and plenty of opportunities.
We have our fingers crossed that Amazon will select Dallas, but until the big announcement, we’ll keep doing what we do best!
